libhardware2 software package provides Library to provide access to the Android libhardware HAL, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libhardware2
libhardware2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libhardware2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libhardware2 *
You will get with libhardware2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
